One of Hollywood’s most watched young talents. Recently Paramount acquired screen rights to the Colleen Houck novel, Tiger’s Curse, which Kryszek will produce with Mary Parent, through Disruption Entertainment.
The success of Clifton Production Services, which he founded in 2007, was followed by the creation of Ineffable Pictures, formed in 2010 to oversee long-form content from inception through distribution. He received his first Emmy nomination this year, as producer of the Fox Movie Channel original program “Writerʼs Draft.” In August of 2011, he partnered with commercial veteran Stuart Wilson to launch Proof of Concept, a technology-driven content company servicing the commercial and music video industries. Thinking beyond traditional marketing platforms, POC will create content for broadcast as well as online rich media, mobile applications and other interactive solutions to help brands reach consumers in more compelling and unique ways.
Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Raffi moved to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious University of Southern California, where he minored in Cinema and Philosophy, and majored in Political Science. Following college, Raffi worked in physical production at New Line Cinema, worked numerous jobs with various independent films [in development and distribution] and worked for NBC-Universalʼs E!, The Style Network, and G4 for six years.
In 2007, Raffi founded Clifton Production Services LLC. The company provides clients with the ability to follow a project from the conception through to final delivery, without the need to step outside of the facility. Services offered include post supervision, editing, graphics, mixing, finishing, high-end visual FX, 3D modeling, animation, color timing and more. The company has provided services for notable projects including music videos for artists like Nelly, Jack Johnson, Kid Rock, Flo Rida, Akon, and Britney Spears to name a few. Raffi also has produced Television projects through Clifton, including “Fox Legacy”, which airs on the Fox Movie Channel.
In 2010, Raffi founded Ineffable Pictures. “Clifton has been facilitating the production of other peopleʼs content for years, and Ineffable is a natural evolution for us,” he explains. “Moreover, it has always been important to us to have some ʻownershipʼ over content, to eventually build a library with real value. The projects we are now working on at Ineffable will accomplish this, on both the theatrical and television fronts.” In 2011, Ineffable Pictures optioned the rights to New York Times Bestselling book series “Tigerʼs Curse” by Colleen Houck. In addition to “Tigerʼs Curse,” Ineffable Pictures is also developing other theatrical and television projects, and is Executive Producing the upcoming action comedy feature film IN SECURITY written by Adam Beamer, Evan Beamer, and Craig Hildebrand. Notable cast for this film includes Vinnie Jones, Ethan Embry, Michael Gladis, and Cary Elwes.
“Writer’s Draft,” the non-fiction program for which Raffi received his Emmy nod, examined the screenwriterʼs process and emotional journey from concept to screen. Raffi notes that his passion and drive for the entertainment business comes from his love of both the art, and commerce of storytelling. “Itʼs extremely fulfilling to not only to create for creationʼs sake,” he states, “but to tell a story that is compelling to a wide range of people who are excited to experience our product.”
